2023 Tire Pé Diem

Tire Pé Diem is produced in the Bordeaux region using grapes sourced from vineyards with well‐drained clay–limestone soils and optimal sun exposure. The wine is primarily crafted from Merlot—with Cabernet Sauvignon employed to accentuate the profile in some vintages—while select cuvées are made entirely from Merlot. The vineyards include both young plantings and more mature vines (aged 10 to 15 years, with a density of 3300 to 5000 vines per hectare) that benefit from the region’s unique terroir. Grapes are hand harvested and subjected to an 8–12‑day cool maceration to achieve a soft extraction, then aged for 8–12 months in concrete tanks. In certain vintages, the wine is produced under organic guidelines, with minimal sulphur addition and without systematic filtration, reflecting a commitment to traditional yet precise winemaking techniques. Managed since 1997 by David and Hélène Barrault, Tire Pé Diem exemplifies the balanced integration of Bordeaux terroir and modern vinification practices.
