2024 A & JF Ganevat Côtes du Jura Pinot Noir "Les Chonchons"
Pinot Noir from the acclaimed Les Chonchons parcel in Jura, where old vines grow in grey marl soils. Part of the Anne et Jean-François Ganevat négoce label, established in 2013 to source organically farmed fruit from trusted growers across Jura and beyond. The wine follows the Ganevat philosophy of natural, low-intervention winemaking with spontaneous fermentation, minimal sulphur use, and élevage in neutral oak, amphora, or stainless steel. This cuvée emphasizes purity of expression and natural vitality, designed for immediate drinking and spontaneous enjoyment. The wine is beautifully transparent with lifted aromatics of cherry, blood orange and rose petals, alongside subtle forest-floor notes that bring a savoury, earthy dimension. The palate is fine and energetic, with silky tannins, bright acidity and a beautifully mineral structure. Elegant without being delicate, and structured without feeling heavy. Recommended to decant or aerate before serving at 15-16°C.
