2024 Angelo Negro Serra Lupini Roero Arneis
Roero Arneis is a DOCG white wine produced in the Roero region of Piedmont using the native Arneis grape. The vineyards, established by the Negro family since 1670, are planted on light, sandy soils that foster optimal ripening while preserving the grape’s inherent brightness. Some bottles, such as the Serra Lupini release, are sourced from higher-altitude sites and older vines, a decision that underscores the region’s capacity to express a distinct mineral character. Notably, under the leadership of Giovanni Negro—whose estate produced the first dry Arneis in 1971—the winery continues to honor a long-standing Piedmontese winemaking tradition.
