2024 Cacique Maravilla Vino Naranja Moscatel de Alejandria

100% Moscatel de Alejandría from winemaker Manuel Moraga Gutierrez's estate in Yumbel, Bío-Bío Valley, Southern Chile. The vineyard features pre-phylloxera vines over 250 years old, dry-farmed and organically grown on volcanic soils across 16 hectares within an 80-hectare farm. Grapes are hand-harvested at varying degrees of ripeness, with 30-35% allowed to develop botrytis on the vine to concentrate sugars. This orange wine undergoes 2 months of skin maceration in open-top concrete vats before pressing, then bottled unfined, unfiltered, with no additional SO2.
