2024 Caravaglio Malvasia Secca Isola di Salina

A dry white wine from the island of Salina in Sicily, composed of 90% Malvasia di Lipari and 10% other indigenous varieties. The grapes are cultivated in twenty small vineyard plots on sandy and volcanic soils in the Malfa district. Antonio Caravaglio has grown his Malvasia organically since the 1990s. Fermentation occurs exclusively with native yeasts under controlled temperatures. The volcanic terroir imparts a distinctive clean mineral brightness while retaining the hallmark characteristics of Malvasia, with the wine reflecting its sea-inspired origins.
