2024 Cardedu ‘Nuo’ Vermentino di Sardegna

100% organically farmed Vermentino from the Loi family in San Vito, Ogliastra, on the southeast coast of Sardegna. The vines grow on 35 acres of crumbling granite soils with high levels of quartz and feldspar, which gives the soils a distinctive reddish tint. This mountainous coastal region is known for its turquoise oceans and rugged cliffs. Cardedu is recognized as one of Sardinia's traditional producers. Dry farming practices without herbicides or pesticides. Fermented with native yeasts in temperature-controlled tanks with skin contact and full malolactic fermentation. Bottled unfiltered and unfined at 12.5% ABV. 1,000 cases produced.
