2024 Casa Balaguer Blanco

Casa Balaguer Blanco showcases all of the estate's white grape varieties from three distinct parcels across the biodynamically farmed estate. The 2024 vintage combines 30% Merseguera, 25% Malvasia, 25% Moscatel de Alejandría, 10% Tortosí, and 10% Verdil. Each variety is harvested and vinified separately in different vessels including wood, clay, concrete, glass, and stainless steel, with varying skin maceration periods. The lots are blended and aged in concrete tanks on fine lees for five months to complete malolactic fermentation before bottling with minimal SO2 and light filtration. 7,000 bottles produced, bottled March 2025. The wine displays a charming straw-yellow hue with bright steely highlights, offering fresh aromas of peach, apricot, citrus, and orange blossom with subtle floral notes of jasmine. On the palate, it presents a fresh and smooth entry with a balsamic touch and delicate herbal nuances of fennel and eucalyptus that give it a vibrant Mediterranean character. Medium-bodied with a clean, persistent, dry finish and contained ripeness at 11-13% alcohol.
