2024 Foradori Fontanasanta Manzoni Bianco

100% Manzoni Bianco, a 1930s crossing of Riesling Renano and Pinot Bianco developed in the Veneto by Dr. Luigi Manzoni. Foradori cultivates 5 hectares of this rare variety in the Fontanasanta vineyard at approximately 400 meters above Trento, a few miles down-valley from the estate in Mezzolombardo. The vines, 15 to 35 years old, grow on clayey-limestone soils that shape the wine's character. Grapes are harvested in late September. Fermented with skins using the red wine method, the wine develops a phenolic texture and elegant mineral quality. It evolves over time, coming into its own at least three years after harvest. Classified as IGT Vigneti delle Dolomiti.
