2024 Ivanović Prokupac
Known as 'the king of the Župa region', Prokupac is an indigenous Serbian grape variety with a rich history tracing back to medieval times. The Ivanović family has preserved these old vines in the remote hills of Aleksandrovac, where Ivan Ivanović continues the family tradition of crafting wines in a traditional and natural way. The blend consists of 85% Prokupac complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Vineyards are situated on steep southern-facing slopes at elevations of 250-600 meters in the Tri Morave region, with soils of limestone, slate, and marl. The renowned belobrežina (white hillside) soil is a chalky, limestone-rich terroir that drives concentration, complexity, and mineral depth. Annual production is 20,000 bottles at 13% alcohol content.
