2024 Jean Louis Chave Selections Cotes du Rhone Mon Coeur

Jean-Louis Chave's "Mon Coeur" is a Côtes du Rhône blend sourced from four distinct terroirs in and around Châteauneuf-du-Pape, including excellent plots in Vinsobres, Visan, Buisson, and Estargues. Part of the Chave Selections négociant line, it represents a more accessible expression of the family's winemaking philosophy. The blend is roughly 50% Syrah and 50% Grenache from vines aged 20-60 years. The Chave family has been growing vines on the Hermitage hill since 1481, with Jean-Louis continuing five centuries of meticulousness in rendering venerable expressions of pure Rhône terroir. This wine showcases the potential of the appellation with the classic mineral component characteristic of Chave wines.
