2024 Lapierre Morgon 1.5L

The 2024 Morgon is produced from Gamay grapes sourced from several vineyard parcels in the Morgon appellation. One parcel, a 1.5‐hectare site on blue slate soils in Roche du Py, is among the areas contributing to the wine, complemented by vineyards located in Lancié near Villié Morgon. Harvesting includes grapes from the first and third pickings, and production methods incorporate both traditional barrel fermentation and semi‐carbonic maceration without added SO₂ for 10–21 days, followed by a six‐month period in cuve. The wine is offered in its traditional format as well as a no‐added-sulfites version, Cuvee N – Sans Soufre. Produced by a Triple ‘A’ operation associated with Marcel Lapierre—an influential figure in natural and organic Beaujolais winemaking—this Morgon reflects a commitment to terroir‐specific practices and traditional production techniques.
