2024 Mas de Gourgonnier Rosé Les Baux de Provence

This wine is produced by the domaine of Luc and Lucienne Cartier, a producer that has practiced certified organic viticulture in the Les Alpilles region since 1975. The vineyards are located in the shadow of a stunning limestone range—with peaks reaching 500 meters—and benefit from a terroir dominated by limestone intermingled with clay. The grapes are hand-harvested and the wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks using indigenous yeasts. The blend emphasizes a higher proportion of Syrah, with a touch of Carignan added to enhance complexity, reflecting a longstanding commitment to natural and meticulous winemaking practices.

Processing: For rosé de pressurage, grapes are destemmed, lightly crushed, and macerated for 8–12 hours before pressing; alternatively, a direct press method is employed.

Fermentation

Carried out with indigenous yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks.

Aging
