2024 Pomalo Plavina

Pomalo is a Dalmatian beach lifestyle colloquialism meaning "take it slow" or "no worries," reflecting the wine's relaxed character. Created by the winemaking Begović cousins—one from the mountains, the other from the coast—who discovered each other through family in Kozice and partnered with importer Vinum to produce this line of wines from indigenous Croatian varieties. This Plavina comes from organically farmed vineyards in inland Dalmatia at elevations of 50-300 meters. Often overlooked for more robust Dalmatian reds like Plavac Mali and Babić, the thick-skinned Plavina grape delivers authentic Dalmatian terroir while maintaining freshness and elegance in this chillable, crushable red.
