2024 Rodica Malvasia

A dry white wine made entirely from Malvazija Istriana, grown on terraced, organically farmed vineyards at 250 to 350 meters above sea level near the Adriatic Sea. The Rodica family practices sustainable viticulture on south-facing slopes with limestone terroir. After de-stemming, the grapes undergo 48 hours of skin maceration and spontaneous fermentation. Up to 25% of the wine is matured for 6 months in 2,500-liter acacia barrels, with the remainder in stainless steel tanks, then blended and bottled unfiltered. This naturally crafted wine showcases gentle minerality and a slightly saline character from its coastal terroir.
