2024 Tarlao Friuli Aquileia Friulano Albero del Noce

100% Friulano from Aquileia in Friuli, northeastern Italy, from ancient Roman vineyards near the Gulf of Trieste. This terroir features alluvial soils of sandstone and clay, rich in mineral salts and influenced by Adriatic winds. Winemaking includes 10-12 hours of cold skin contact maceration followed by stainless steel fermentation, with 80% aged on the lees in steel and 20% in new and second-use French oak. The region's unique combination of ancient viticultural heritage and maritime climate creates Friulano's distinctive mineral character and savory complexity.
