Villa Dora farms certified-organic, 70-year-old ungrafted vines on the southern slopes of Mount Vesuvius at Terzigno, inside the national park, at 250-300 meters elevation. The vines grow in pulverized pumice, ash, and lapilli from volcanic eruptions, where phylloxera cannot survive, allowing traditional pergola-trained vines to remain on their own roots. Fermented in stainless steel and aged on fine lees for 5-6 months with no oak influence, expressing the pure volcanic character of the territory with struck-flint minerality and saline finish.
