This old native vine is well suited to lean, sandy soils and was historically favored by King Vittorio Emanuele II, who gave the grape its regional name. Hand-harvested grapes are de-stemmed and pneumatically pressed, then naturally fermented in stainless steel. The wine is aged on lees through winter and spring, then bottled with minimal sulphur (~10ppm) without filtering or fining. Formerly labeled 'Snert' Langhe Favorita.
