2025 Foradori Teroldego Lezer

Lezèr, meaning 'light' in local dialect, was born from Foradori's 2017 vintage when a summer hailstorm damaged 40% of the Teroldego crop. This short-maceration red wine has become a continued success, with ongoing experimentation in every vintage. The wine blends Teroldego with Schiava, Lagrein, and Merlot from 8 hectares of vines on sandy, gravelly alluvial soils characteristic of the Dolomitic terroir. Grapes are never left on skins for more than 24 hours, creating the wine's signature light color and body. The family experiments annually with varietal mix, whole bunch proportion, and aging vessels including cement, steel, old wood, and amphora.
