2025 La Grange Tiphaine Ad Libitum Rouge
A blend of Cabernet Franc, Gamay, and Côt (Malbec) from Touraine-Amboise grown on clay and silex soils. Each variety is hand-harvested in September and undergoes separate maceration in concrete tanks: 18-20 days for the Côt and Cabernet Franc, with shorter maceration for the Gamay. Native fermentation is employed for each variety before blending. The wine is aged in concrete for 4 months and receives light earth-based filtration before bottling. The winemakers seek straightforward fruit expression and complementarity among the three typical Touraine varieties. Best enjoyed within 2 to 5 years of vintage. Open 30 minutes before service and serve slightly chilled.
