2025 Lapierre Raisins Gaulois Gamay VDF Rouge
Marcel Lapierre's Raisins Gaulois is a 100% Gamay from young vines grown within the Morgon cru on decomposed granite soils. Despite its terroir pedigree, the wine is classified as Vin de France rather than Morgon AOC due to the deliberately high-yield approach from younger vineyards. This farming practice produces lower alcohol levels and prevents excessive concentration, resulting in a fresh, fruit-driven style. Now managed by Marcel's son Mathieu, the wine maintains the estate's distinctive house style of bright, vin de soif character built for immediate drinking and ideally served with a slight chill.
