2025 Philippe Tessier Grain Noir

This red wine from the Cheverny appellation comprises 60% Gamay, 20% Pineau d'Aunis, and 20% Côt, sourced from clay soils in the communes of Cormeray, Cheverny, and Cellettes. The 26-hectare family estate is situated on the Loire castle route, with a microclimate influenced by the Loire River and the surrounding forests of Cheverny, Chambord, and Sologne. Grapes undergo malolactic fermentation with 80% whole bunches, followed by 12 months aging split between 60% neutral wood barrels and 40% stainless steel, resulting in a wine that balances bright mineral acidity with structure.
