2025 Roccafiore Umbria Grechetto Fiordaliso

Made from 100% Grechetto di Todi clone G5, which is deeper, more concentrated and less rustic than other clones from the area. Produced by Cantina Roccafiore, founded by the Baccarelli family who purchased the property in the rolling hills near Todi in 1999, planted local varieties, and released their first vintage in 2005. The vineyards face north/north-east, planted in 2004 on white clay and calcareous marl soils. Grapes are hand-harvested in early September from sustainable agriculture. The wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel, then ages for 6 months on fine lees without malolactic fermentation, followed by a minimum of 3 months bottle aging. The bouquet features white flowers with attractive notes of pink grapefruit and green apple. Dry with pleasing freshness, supported by minerality and persistence.
