NV La Staffa Mai Sentito Frizzante
La Staffa's 'Mai Sentito' (meaning 'Never Heard Of' or 'Unheard Of') is a sparkling wine crafted primarily from Verdicchio with a small addition of Trebbiano grapes. Produced using the ancestral method (pétillant-naturel style), the wine is refermented in bottle with its own yeasts before the second fermentation is finished. This traditional approach was pioneered by winemaker Riccardo, who created the first sparkling Verdicchio in this style. The wine expresses the characteristic features of the Marche region with mineral and saline complexity, lively acidity, and pristine fruit from carefully farmed vineyards.
